Life Coach - Step 16 of 100 - Pehchaan Kaun, Chor Kaun - Ration leakage

Centralize wherever leakages are possible

The typical ration strength for a company would be around 70 per day. The general practice is that the langar commander picks up the fortnightly ration and stores it in company langar. Stop that practice.

Every day the langar commander should pick up the rations based on that day's nafri. This may sound time wasting. And yes it is, but what I am looking for is a trend that gives me average surplus over a month. Once you know over 3 months how much rations are surplus, you can either continue with daily issue or ask the company to hand you over the surplus every month.

I reiterate that you as a CO should control the surplus rations.

Units either sell the surplus ration to married troops at a much subsidized rate and then plough back the money into the langar for the barrack troops. Or they use it in bada khana. The choice is yours.
