Life coach - Step 62 of 100 - Take the 21 day challenge and lose 8 lbs

This challenge is not about losing 8 lbs. You will lose 8 lbs as an indirect consequence of accepting the challenge. The challenge is about being on the go for the 21 days.

Challenge
For the next 21 days, decide that you will not use the chair at all. It means two things - firstly you should be out in field with troops and your officers and secondly if you do have to be in your office to sign stuff, do it while you are standing.

Does this sound crazy - I have read that some CEOs have this policy. There are no chairs even for software programmers or architects. I am not talking about the shopfloor.

Is this possible - most people in service industry are on their feet the entire 8 to 10 hours of their workload - ticketing counters at Mumbai local trains, all checkout counters in all stores in US, all banks in US where they service clients for depositing cheques and sundry work, shop floors, mechanics, everywhere.

There are 2 advantages of doing so
1. Since you are already standing, it takes less power to overcome the inertia to go places. You can go to the companies, the training areas, the MT, anywhere
2. If you are standing you realize that you end up wasting much lesser time in stuff that you do not actually need to do - reviewing a letter over and over, reading newspaper for articles that do not contribute value, you will be surprised how much the brain filters when you are standing

Dont belive me. Read this article from my favourite blog

Are there any takers for the challenge?
